April 5-  Conroe Film Festival 10AM-10PM- Owen Theatre, 225 Metcalfe St, Conroe- Highlighting films made by local directors, producers and actors. 

4/6 Cynthia Woods Mitchell, 2005 Lake Robbins Dr, The Woodlands, 281-363-3300- Free Concert- Boston Pops perform “Star Wars: The Story in Music”

4/20 5PM Owen Theatre, 225 Metcalfe St, Conroe- The Players Theatre Company presents Carvin Jones, “The King of Strings”, voted one of the 50 greatest blues guitarists of all time by Guitarist Magazine. 

4/26 Birthday Party for the Wolves at Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary, 6731 Pavlock Rd, Navasota. A howling good time with special enrichment demonstrations with the wolves, food trucks, artisan vendors, kid’s zone, silent auction and games! 

4/27 Frankenboltzzzz Brewing Co, 173 N FM 1486, Montgomery, 12-6PM- Sunday Vendor Market & Karaoke, crawfish, craft beer & pizza (4th Sunday of every month)

TMR Donkey Rescue, 9977 CR 302, Plantersville, tmrrescue.com- donkey, mule and horse rescue ranch. Contact Johnny to schedule a tour or volunteer. First Saturday of the month, join our Donkey Walk! 

7 Acre Wood, 4401 Frazier St, Conroe, 7acrewood.org- Open Monday - Saturday, 9-5PM, Sundays 12-5PM featuring mini-golf, petting zoo, zip line, scooter track, pony rides and so much more!

Lone Star Hiking Trail- 129 mile hiking trail meanders through the Sam Houston National Forest. There are several different recommended trails to hike with various levels of difficulty. Contact the Forest Service for more information (936)344-6205.

Nat Hart Davis Pioneer Complex. 14264 Liberty St, Montgomery- Seven historic buildings owned & maintained by Montgomery Historical Society- Tours Wednesday-Saturday, 11-3PM.

East Texas Elephant Experience, 14041 Hwy 105, Cut and Shoot, TX, 936-264-6262- Monday-Friday 10-5PM- Multi-generational family dedicated their lives to elephants in human care- daily tours.

Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary, 6731 Pavlock Rd, Navasota, 936-894-9653- provides exceptional lifelong sanctuary to non-releasable wolves and wolf dogs. Tours daily Tuesday-Sunday. 

Threshold Vineyard & Winery, 14615 CR 318, Navasota, 936-225-3355, www.thresholdvineyards.com- Tours and tastings daily, check website for live music and special events. 

Hound Hauz, 7720 South FM 1486 (between Magnolia and Montgomery)- your friendly neighborhood dog-and-family-friendly beer garden.  Every Sunday, 12-5pm, 1486 Market featuring local bakers, crafters, makers, artisans and small business owners

Red Brick Tavern, 119 Simonton, Conroe, 936-539-2000- Gospel Sunday Brunch with Jim Sloan and friends every Sunday. Doors open at 7AM, music at 11:30AM.

Classic Rock Coffee Co, 129 E Washington Ave, Navasota- Classic rock with Dale Mae every Sunday 12:30-2:30PM. 

Bernhardt Winery, 9043 CR 204, Plantersville, 936-894-9829, www.bernhardtwinery,com-  Handcrafted award-winning wine since 2005. Visitors can feel the ambience of Texas wine country. Offering winery tours and tastings, live music and events!

First Friday Sip & Shop, 205 Metcalfe St, Downtown Conroe. This is the place to be on the first Friday night of each month for Sip & Shop! The market is set up at the corner of Main and Metcalfe street with unique local vendors, live jazz and food trucks open from 5-9PM.

Lone Star Convention & Expo Center, 9055 Airport Rd, Conroe- This versatile facility hosts a wide range of events, from rodeos and festivals to dog shows, gun shows and more! Check the event calendar for current events: https://www.thelonestar.org/

Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, 2005 Lake Robbins Dr, The Woodlands, TX, www.woodlandscenter.org- The pavilion provides a venue for awesome shows ranging from big-name rock, pop, rap and country performers to local arts and entertainment troupes.

Heritage Museum of Montgomery County, 1506 I45, Conroe- The Heritage Museum of Montgomery County, housed in the historic Grogan.Cochran home, built in 1924,  features exhibits showcasing the county’s roots, from the lumber and oil industries to the everyday lives of Montgomery County residents. Heritage Place, 500 Collins St, Conroe- Located in the heart of downtown Conroe, this park is perfect for accommodating events as diverse as public gardening, crafts and cooking fairs, wedding receptions as well as a venue for outdoor events, festivals and concerts. The Crighton Theatre, 234 N Main St, Conroe, TX 77301, (936) 441-7469, The Crighton Theatre is a truly historic theater built in 1934 and is the home base for performances offered by Stage Right Productions and Christian Youth Theatre and holds various music concerts and shows.  Check the website for current performances: https://www.crightontheatre.org/

Southern Empress Cruises, 7035 Kingston Cove, Ln, Willis, www.southernempress.com - The Southern Empress offers unforgettable evenings for its guests, filled with dining, drinks and dancing, while cruising beautiful Lake Conroe.  Check the website for dinner cruises, murder mystery cruises and many other events.

Southern Star Brewing Co, 3525 Frazier St, Conroe, 936-224-5848- Founded in 2008, Southern Star Brewing Co was the first brewery in Texas to can craft beer. The brewery sits on 13 wooded acres with an extraordinary taproom that overlooks the production brewhouse and an outdoor biergarten with a stage for live music. Main Street Market Farmers and Artisan Market every Saturday in Downtown Conroe, 10 AM- 2PM, 301 N Thompson St

Montgomery Farmers Market, 19785 Hwy 105W, Montgomery, 9AM - 1PM every Saturday-  "Join us every Saturday for the best local, organic foods!" One-stop shop for meat, poultry, dairy and sweets- also handmade artisan products.
