June 20- July 5- Owen Theatre, 225 Metcalfe St, Conroe,www.owentheatre.com-- The Players Theatre Company presents Noel Coward’s “Private Lives”, called one of the most sophisticated, entertaining plays ever written.

July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 (Wednesday nights)- Trivia Night at Wildflyer Mead Co, 221 S Railroad St, Navasota- Assemble your team and join us! Come early to grab your spot and a bite to eat before the competition begins (and, yes, there will be prizes!).
July 2 & 16 Conroe Art League- Twice a month join this fun group for live figure drawing at the CAL classroom, 127 Simonton, Conroe, TX. 10:00am to 1:00pm on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
July 3, 7PM ( first Thursday of every month) Wildflyer Mead Co, 221 Railroad St, Navasota- Navasota Silent Book Club (you don’t have to be silent)
July 4 Independence Day! Happy 4th of July!
July 4 6PM- 200 E McAlpine St, Navasota- Freedom Festival in Downtown Navasota! Parade, live music, fireworks, food trucks, water slide & inflatables and more! Parade starts at 6PM.
July 3, 12, 19, 26 9AM-11AM- Painting with John Cantavella, Saturday morning sessions with renown painter at the Conroe Art League, 127 Simonton St, Conroe.
July 4- Artists in Action at the Madeley Fine Art Gallery, 127 Simonton St, Conroe- The first Friday of every month the gallery is open until 7:00pm to host Artist In Action Sip N Shop. Visit the gallery to see artists at work. Every month brings different artists with different mediums so you may see painting, sculpting, drawing, ceramics, photography, or any number of other mediums. This is a free event open to the public.
July 4-20- Crighton Theatre, 234 N Main ST, Conroe- The Wedding Singer- Just say Yes to the most romantic musical in 20 years! Call the box office for tickets: 936-441-7469
July 5, 8AM-1PM, Freedom Festival- 14420 Liberty St, Montgomery, Family-friendly community event featuring a lively downtown parade, live music, eats and festive activities.
July 5- Lone Star First Saturday, 9AM - 3PM, 14420 Liberty St, Montgomery- Farmers and artisans market- “Where everything is handmade, homemade or homegrown”.
July 5- Donkey Walk at TMR Rescue, 9977 CR302, Plantersville- All of our walks are RSVP events. They are generally the first Saturday of each month. If you are interested, please RSVP with Kayla Hardy at Fundraising@TMRRescue.com.

July 18 1:30-3:30PM- Conroe Art League- Still Life Group- Still Life Group is an open studio, no-instruction event. Once each month, Terri Harris facilitates an opportunity for artists to practice their art-from-life skills. All levels of skill are welcome, and any medium can be used.

East Texas Elephant Experience, 14041 Hwy 105, Cut and Shoot, TX, 936-264-6262- Monday-Friday 10-5PM- Multi-generational family dedicated their lives to elephants in human care- daily tours.
First Friday Sip & Shop, 205 Metcalfe St, Downtown Conroe. This is the place to be on the first Friday night of each month for Sip & Shop! The market is set up at the corner of Main and Metcalfe street with unique local vendors, live jazz and food trucks open from 5-9PM.
Henry’s Hideout, 46010 FM 1774, Plantersville, TX 77363, (346) 764-4579- Built in 1937, this bar/dance hall has thousands of deer antlers hanging from the ceiling! Known as “The horniest place in Texas”, this country tavern has been featured in Texas Monthly! Drinks, food and live music!
Heritage Museum of Montgomery County, 1506 I45, Conroe- The Heritage Museum of Montgomery County, housed in the historic Grogan.Cochran home, built in 1924, features exhibits showcasing the county’s roots, from the lumber and oil industries to the everyday lives of Montgomery County residents. Heritage Place, 500 Collins St, Conroe- Located in the heart of downtown Conroe, this park is perfect for accommodating events as diverse as public gardening, crafts and cooking fairs, wedding receptions as well as a venue for outdoor events, festivals and concerts. Lake Conroe Beach Park, `14968 Hwy 105, Montgomery. (936) 900-1493. Located on the shore of Lake Conroe, you can enjoy cabana rentals, kayak & paddleboard rentals, feed truck village, events and celebrations. Day passes available!
Lone Star Convention & Expo Center, 9055 Airport Rd, Conroe- This versatile facility hosts a wide range of events, from rodeos and festivals to dog shows, gun shows and more! Check the event calendar for current events: https://www.thelonestar.org/
Lone Star Hiking Trail- 129 mile hiking trail meanders through the Sam Houston National Forest. There are several different recommended trails to hike with various levels of difficulty. Contact the Forest Service for more information (936)344-6205.
Lone Star Monument and Historic Park, 1-4 I-45N, Conroe, is a 3.5 acre park featuring the 13 flags that flew in Texas as the region fought for independence during the Texas Revolution. At the center of the plaza is a statue of the Texas Revolutionary Soldier by Conroe artist, Craig Compobella.
