June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 1PM-3PM- Watercolor with Carrie Allbritton, Monday afternoon ongoing sessions with renown watercolor artist at the Conroe Art League, 127 Simonton St, Conroe.

June 4, 7PM- Trivia Night at Wildflyer Mead Co, 221 S Railroad St, Navasota- This week’s trivia theme: Summer Trivia! Assemble your team and join us! Come early to grab your spot and a bite to eat before the competition begins (and, yes, there will be prizes!).

 

June 5 at 7PM- Concert in the Park- Mr Wonderful featuring 80s rock- Heritage Park, 500 Metcalf St, Conroe.

June 5, 12, 19, 26 4:30PM-7:30PM- Montgomery Sip & Stroll Local Market- Enjoy handmade products, produce and baked goods in historic downtown Montgomery, supporting local vendors and businesses.

 

June 6 Kick-off to Summer at Wildflyer Mead Co, 16481 CR319, Navasota- Family night featuring yard games, coloring sheets, puzzles, popsicles, s’mores by the fire pit. Bring the whole family for a night of good food, good company and some good old-fashioned fun!

 

June 6- Artists in Action at the Madeley Fine Art Gallery, 127 Simonton St, Conroe- The first Friday of every month the gallery is open until 7:00pm to host Artist In Action Sip N Shop.  Visit the gallery to see artists at work. Every month brings different artists with different mediums so you may see painting, sculpting, drawing,  ceramics, photography, or any number of other mediums.  This is a free event open to the public.

 

June 6- Owen Theatre, 225 Metcalfe St, Conroe,www.owentheatre.com- Conroe Conjuring with Nathon Coe Marsh- Join us each month for another remarkable evening of Magic presented by "Masters of Magic" in the historic 250 seat Owen Theatre located in downtown Conroe, Texas!

 

June 7, 8AM- Classic Truck Throwdown- Lone Star Expo Center, 9255 Airport Rd, Conroe- An event for classic trucks to gather and show what they’ve got!

 

June 7- Donkey Walk at TMR Rescue, 9977 CR302, Plantersville- All of our walks are RSVP events. They are generally the first Saturday of each month. June's walk will be at 9am.If you are interested, please RSVP with Kayla Hardy at Fundraising@TMRRescue.com.

June 7-Owen Theatre, 225 Metcalfe St, Conroe,www.owentheatre.com- Baytown Little Theater presents “Tuesdays With Morrie”. THE STORY: TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie’s appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

June 7- Lone Star First Saturday, 9AM - 3PM, 14420 Liberty St, Montgomery- Farmers and artisans market- “Where everything is handmade, homemade or homegrown”.

 

June 7, 7:30PM- Crighton Theatre, 234 N Main, Conroe- “Already Gone” is known for being the premier Eagles tribute band in the South. Formed in 2006, these five veteran musicians reproduce the Eagles lush vocal harmonies so accurately that it’s uncanny. Capturing the energy and subtle swagger of the early Eagles perfectly, the band paces the delivery of pitch-perfect harmonies and intricate musical arrangements between witty stage patter, reminding electrified audiences once again why the Eagles are legendary, and also why Already Gone is at the top of their game

June 8- Donkeys and Donuts- TMR Rescue, 9977 CR302, Plantersville- Come out and share brunch with a few of our animals! Our suggested donation is $25 per person. For that, you'll get a variety of donuts and kolaches, as well as visit with a few of our sweetest animals in front of the gift shop!

June 12, 7PM- Wildflyer Mead & Beer Co Book Club- Join us on the second Thursday of the month from 7-9PM for drinks and discussion. Bring a dish and a friend to share! June Book of the Month: “Little Green Men” by Christopher Buckley. 

 

June 13, 6:30-9:30PM- Dad & Me Cooking Demo at Wildflyer Mead Co, 16481 CR319, Navasota- Join us for a heart- warming and delicious evening featuring Chef Tyler and his aspiring chef daughter, Luna! This dynamic chef duo will guide you through a fun, family-friendly cooking demo that’s perfect for kids and parents alike!

June 14- Peach Festival at Bernhardt Winery, 9043 CR 204, Plantersville- This family-friendly event will include wine tastings, live music, vineyard train rides, food trucks, artisan market vendors and more! June 15, 11AM - 3PM- Father’s Day Buffet at Cafe M Bloomers, located in Martha’s Bloomers, 8101 Hwy 6 N, Navasota- Chef Sarah has planned a menu that everyone will enjoy! Our favorite;s buffet includes a handheld entree, two sides and desert, plus tea, coffee or soda. 

 

June 20- July 5- Owen Theatre, 225 Metcalfe St, Conroe,www.owentheatre.com-- The Players Theatre Company presents “Private Lives” Called one of the most sophisticated, entertaining plays ever written, Noel Coward’s “Private Lives” is a 1930s comedy of manners. A divorced couple who, while honeymooning with their new spouses, discover that they are staying in adjacent rooms at the same hotel. Despite a perpetually stormy relationship, they realize that they still have feelings for each other.

East Texas Elephant Experience, 14041 Hwy 105, Cut and Shoot, TX, 936-264-6262- Monday-Friday 10-5PM- Multi-generational family dedicated their lives to elephants in human care- daily tours. 

 

First Friday Sip & Shop, 205 Metcalfe St, Downtown Conroe. This is the place to be on the first Friday night of each month for Sip & Shop! The market is set up at the corner of Main and Metcalfe street with unique local vendors, live jazz and food trucks open from 5-9PM.

 

Henry’s Hideout, 46010 FM 1774, Plantersville, TX 77363, (346) 764-4579- Built in 1937, this bar/dance hall has thousands of deer antlers hanging from the ceiling! Known as “The horniest place in Texas”, this country tavern has been featured in Texas Monthly! Drinks, food and live music!

 

Heritage Museum of Montgomery County, 1506 I45, Conroe- The Heritage Museum of Montgomery County, housed in the historic Grogan.Cochran home, built in 1924,  features exhibits showcasing the county’s roots, from the lumber and oil industries to the everyday lives of Montgomery County residents. Lake Conroe Beach Park, `14968 Hwy 105, Montgomery. (936) 900-1493.  Located on the shore of Lake conroe, you can enjoy cabana rentals, kayak & paddleboard rentals, feed truck village, events and celebrations. Day passes available! 

 

Lone Star Convention & Expo Center, 9055 Airport Rd, Conroe- This versatile facility hosts a wide range of events, from rodeos and festivals to dog shows, gun shows and more! Check the event calendar for current events: https://www.thelonestar.org/

Lone Star Hiking Trail- 129 mile hiking trail meanders through the Sam Houston National Forest. There are several different recommended trails to hike with various levels of difficulty. Contact the Forest Service for more information (936)344-6205.

Lone Star Monument and Historic Park, 1-4 I-45N, Conroe,  is a 3.5 acre park featuring the 13 flags that flew in Texas as the region fought for independence during the Texas Revolution.  At the center of the plaza is a statue of the Texas Revolutionary Soldier by Conroe artist, Craig Compobella.

Madeley Fine Art Gallery- 127 Simonton St, Conroe- The Madeley Fine Art Gallery is located in the 100+ yr old Madeley Brothers Building in historic downtown Conroe and the heart of the Cultural District. Features monthly exhibits of original art made by local artists.

Nat Hart Davis Pioneer Complex. 14264 Liberty St, Montgomery- Seven historic buildings owned & maintained by Montgomery Historical Society- Tours Wednesday-Saturday, 11-3PM. 

Old Iron Works, 15030 Liberty St, Montgomery, 936-597-4978- A truly hidden gem! A must-see if you are into old cars and quality restoration. There are a few cars in the showroom, but many more in the back!

Whitehall Icehouse & Cafe, 1863 CR 306, Navasota- Homemade country food, chef-made deserts, BBQ, burgers & ice cold beer. This establishment, owned by two chefs, is a destination, where folks, local or just passing through, can stop for a beer, a burger, and a great time. They host live music, jeep days, and farmer’s markets monthly.
